The agreement governing Epic Roots accounts, gameplay, virtual items and purchases.
These Terms of Service and End-User License Agreement govern the authorized use of Epic Roots: Chowka Bara & More. They address account access, gameplay, Coins, Gems, purchases, player conduct and account termination. The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
1. Agreement and definitions
These Terms of Service and End-User License Agreement (the “Agreement”) apply to Epic Roots: Chowka Bara & More, its Android application and associated online game services (collectively, the “Game”). The Game is developed and operated under the name GameAJS (“GameAJS”, “we”, “us” or “our”). “Player” and “you” refer to the person using the Game.
By accepting this Agreement, you agree to the applicable rules governing your authorized use of the Game. Read our Privacy Policy separately for information about the handling of personal data. Acceptance of this Agreement is not a blanket consent to advertising personalization.
2. Eligibility and younger players
The initial India release is intended for persons aged 13 and older. A player must also meet the legal and account eligibility requirements applicable to their location and the features accessed. Minors must obtain the parent or guardian authorization required by applicable law. GameAJS may limit account, purchase or other features when necessary authorization has not been established.
Players must provide accurate eligibility information when requested and must not attempt to evade access or safety restrictions.
3. Limited license
Subject to this Agreement and applicable law, GameAJS grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal license to install and use the Game for lawful entertainment. The Game, its code, graphics, audio, branding and original content are licensed, not sold. This license does not grant ownership of intellectual property or the right to commercially redistribute Game materials.
Nothing in this Agreement claims exclusive ownership of traditional board-game rules or cultural heritage independently of GameAJS's original implementation.
4. Player accounts and account security
The Game supports Guest access and eligible Google account linking. A Guest identity may have server-backed progress. Google linking is required before Gem purchases and supports eligible account continuity and recovery. GameAJS does not silently merge different accounts.
Players are responsible for protecting access to their devices and account credentials, subject to applicable law. Account selling, impersonation, unauthorized transfers, unauthorized access and attempts to compromise other players' accounts are prohibited.
5. Gameplay and online modes
Epic Roots provides traditional board-game modes, including supported offline/AI, Friends and Public Online play. Gameplay is governed by the rules presented in the Game and authoritative match results.
Public Online matches may require earned Coin entry fees and award placement-based Coin rewards. Voluntary match abandonment may forfeit the applicable entry fee and reward under the published game rules; recoverable disconnections and authoritative server failures are handled under the Game's separate reconnection and refund rules.
Friends matches are free to enter under the approved game rules. Network services can be interrupted by maintenance or technical failure, and certain modes may not be available while offline.
6. Coins
Coins are a game-only currency earned through gameplay, daily rewards and eligible rewarded advertisements. Coins cannot be purchased with real money, exchanged from Gems or redeemed for cash. Public Online entry requirements, eligible rewards and any permitted recoveries are governed by the current rules displayed in the Game.
7. Gems and digital content
Gems are an optional virtual currency offered through Google Play Billing when purchasing is enabled. Gems may be spent on eligible cosmetic items such as emotes, board appearances, pawn styles, avatars, frames and themed bundles. The displayed product and price are confirmed before purchase.
Validly acquired Gems and cosmetic entitlements are part of the game service, are not cash, and may not be redeemed or transferred for money. A cosmetic license does not confer ownership of the underlying GameAJS artwork, software or other intellectual property. Nothing here overrides mandatory consumer rights.
8. Billing and purchase fulfillment
Android in-app purchases of Gems are processed through Google Play Billing. Google presents the applicable purchase price and payment process. GameAJS grants Gems or other applicable entitlements only after successful backend verification of the transaction. Pending, canceled, duplicate or unverified transactions do not establish a new entitlement.
Purchase approval settings may apply to eligible Google Play family accounts. Such approval does not replace any separate account or data-processing authorization that is legally required.
9. Refunds, chargebacks and reversals
Google Play refunds and consumer protection rights apply to eligible purchases. A refund request is not the same as a completed refund. Upon a confirmed cancellation, revocation or refund, GameAJS may make documented adjustments to the Gems, cosmetic entitlements or transaction records associated with that purchase, as permitted by law.

10. Player conduct and fair play
Players must not cheat, automate or manipulate matches without authorization; exploit security flaws; harass or impersonate others; introduce offensive names or imagery; commit payment fraud; disrupt matchmaking or servers; or access any account or data without permission.
Online expression is limited to the Game's supported predefined emoji reactions; general text and voice chat are not offered. Applicable player reporting, blocking and moderation systems may be used to address abusive conduct.
11. Enforcement
GameAJS may investigate credible reports of misconduct, security threats or violations of this Agreement. Depending on the circumstances, we may remove prohibited content, restrict features, suspend access or terminate accounts to the extent permitted by law. Appropriate evidence and account integrity are considered before punitive decisions.
12. Advertising and rewards
Eligible versions of the Game may show banner advertisements and offer voluntary rewarded advertisements for certain Coin-related recovery features. Availability and ad treatment depend on privacy choices, age eligibility, region and service configuration. Rewards require successful verification of the applicable ad completion; availability of any particular advertisement is not guaranteed.
13. Security, updates and service availability
Use of online modes depends on a functioning network connection and available backend services. GameAJS may issue updates, conduct maintenance and restrict affected features when necessary to protect service integrity. We endeavor to operate the Game reliably, but interruptions and software defects can occur.
14. Account deletion and loss of access
You may request account deletion in Account Settings or at gameajs.com/delete-account. The existing verification-based deletion process allows a seven-day cancellation period where applicable. Completed deletion ends access to the account and associated progress, Coins, Gems and digital entitlements, except that certain records may lawfully be retained for financial, security or other legitimate reasons as described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Intellectual property
GameAJS and relevant rights holders retain all rights in original Game software, artwork, branding, designs, music, interfaces and other protected materials. Except as permitted by law or expressly authorized, players may not reproduce, redistribute or commercially exploit protected Game content. Third-party components remain subject to their own applicable licenses.
16. Consumer protection and liability
The Game is provided subject to all mandatory warranties, remedies and consumer rights under applicable law. To the extent permitted by law, GameAJS is not responsible for service interruptions arising exclusively from circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
17. Changes to the Agreement
GameAJS may amend this Agreement to reflect changes in the Game or applicable requirements. Updates will be published with the applicable revision date. When a material update requires renewed acceptance, the Game will request it as appropriate.
18. Governing law and disputes
For the initial India release, this Agreement is governed by applicable Indian law, subject to mandatory legal rights and consumer protections. Players may contact GameAJS Support first about disputes or service concerns, without limiting access to competent authorities or legal remedies.
